Late in 2020, Lamont Audio was the backdrop for an episode of "Reasonable Doubt," a hit Discovery Channel (ID Channel) show. The episode will be showing in repeats throughout the summer -- if anyone catches it, let us know what you think -- I "cut the cord" on my cable recently, so I won't be able to actually see it until it shows up on Roku.
Putting the finishing touches on a new piece of gear. My favorite compressor has always been a Fairchild. I’ve built a few, always using an instrumentation amp active output. This time I was able to source a suitable transformer from CineMag. There’s something sonically magical about a tube driven output transformer.
Thanks to Collin Schneide for the great review of his recent session: “Went to the studio on Saturday and recorded the fist song in two years called “I found my Voice”. I had so much fun with Sandy Lamont (Lamont Audio). His studio is like the best in Phoenix. The song is a jazz/pop mix about moving forward in life. It came out amazing!!!"
Steve Tussie and Keith Rosenbaum standing in front of our 16 Track they recorded on back in the 70s. Steve has a new CD coming out soon. Watch for it, it'll be great!
Keith Rosenbaum recorded 9 drum tracks in only 5 hours -- according to Keith, a personal best! What a great drummer!
Following all the virus protocols in the studio, including: Social Distancing, No Hugging, Wearing Facemasks, etc. Great to have lots of studio space to spread out and do some work on an enjoyable recording project with friends who are real pros.
In a "secret" recording studio in a "secret" location, "secret" musicians work on a "secret" drum session for a "secret" project. More news later on this "secret" session for John Byrne.
I was looking for a hifi pa speaker - ended up doing double duty as a new studio monitor. JBL 15", Eminence 8" mid, and a Pyramid tweet. Everything including the cab purchased at PartsExpress. You should hear it on a playback!
Today were in the studio again with Juan Oskar and Michael Kravitz -- they say we're up to 'no good'. Sounding Great!
East Valley Children's Theater in the studio recording a demo of a play for Peter Palame called "Dead End." These kids are great!
